Since Sunday, August 13, 2017, a statue of Saint Tereza is added permanently to the Catholic Church Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Belmont, Bronx, New York. The placement of the statue, which is part of the renovation of the hundred year old church, was followed with an inaugurating ceremony. Among many guests present during the ceremony was the Pope’s Ambassador (Nuncio) in Albania, Archbishop, Charles Brown. Also, part of the ceremony were the Albanian-American Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj and the General Consulate of the Republic of Kosova in New York, Teuta Sahatqija. The statue was donated by the Albanian- American businessman and community activist, Harry Bajraktari.
