Mr. Jim Xhema, a renowned entrepreneur, developer and human rights activist, donated 40 thousand dollars, presented by Mr. Elmi Berisha, Chairman of Vatra’s Hudson Valley Branch

Mr. Harry Bajraktari, a prominent Albanian-American businessman gifted 25 thousand dollars….

The earthquake relief campaign runs from now through December and it includes Vatra’s affiliates.

Jointly with Vatra, two more organizations, the Skenderbeg Association INC raised  $ 3,140 presented by Mr. Mark Qehaja and the Albanian-American Writers’ Association via its President Mehill Velaj made a gift of $ 2,850.

The Special Event launched the Earthquake relief Campaign at the offices of the Pan-Albanian Federation of America Vatra at noon on Saturday. 

A moment of silence was observed to honor the victims of the devastating temblor that hit Albania on November 26. 

President of Vatra, Mr. Dritan Mishto, thanked everyone that joined Vatra’s campaign in solidarity. The full list of donors and contributors will be posted soon.
