
On February 5, at the U.S. Department of State’s Office of South Central European Affairs in Washington, D.C., Prishtina Mayor Perparim Rama was received and had a productive meeting with Lyn Debevoise, Deputy Director for West Central European Affairs, and attending foreign service officials.
The parties reconfirmed their aligned views and the exceptional bilateral relations between the U.S., Kosovo, and the City of Prishtina. The discussion covered a wide spectrum of issues, including economic cooperation, with a focus on the upcoming conference for U.S. investment in Kosovo, specifically within the capital. The Mayor of Prishtina, Përparim Rama, attended the meeting accompanied by Dr. Elmi Berisha, Chairman of Vatra.
Mayor Rama emphasized that coordinating with the State Department is paramount to the effectiveness of economic projects aimed at promoting private-sector growth and investment climate stability. Deputy Director Lyn Debevoise affirmed their commitment to supporting Kosova’s economic growth, ensuring that U.S. policy remains dedicated to protecting US investments and supporting both immediate economic progress and long-term regional goals for Kosovo’s future.
