Kanë kaluar plot 34 vjet që nga dita kur mijëra qytetarë rrëzuan shtatoren e ish-diktatorit Enver Hoxha, në sheshin Skënderbej, ngjarje e cila do të shënonte kështu dhe rënien e regjimit të vjetër diktatorial i cili ishte në ditët e tij të fundit.
Ky akt ishte simbol i shpresës së madhe që u ngjall atë ditë, shpresës se krimi dhe vrasjet politike kishin marrë fund.
Today we commemorate the fall of the statue of Enver Hoxha, on February 20th, 1991
It has been 34 years since the day when thousands of citizens toppled the statue of former dictator Enver Hoxha, in Skanderbeg Square, an event which would mark the fall of the old dictatorial regime which was in its last days.
This act was a symbol of the great hope that was raised that day, the hope that crime and political executions were over.
