On Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Richard J. Codey Arena (named after former Governor of New Jersey) at South Mountain, NJ, Light Heavy Weight contender Elvir Muriqi “The Kosovo Kid” will take on Zsolt Erdei in a ten round main event. The big night starts at 7:00 pm and is promoted by ESPN (Friday Nights Fight), Dibella Entertainment, GH Promotions and Greg Cohen Promotions.
Elvir Muriqi from New York City has a record of 40-5 with 24 knockouts in his career. For the past ten years Muriqi earned his championship title as the Best Top Ten Fighters in the World. As a strong and talented boxer Muriqi has climbed to the top and his goal is to become a world champion.
“It’s been my goal since a little kid to become a world champion. When I was 10 years old I went to watch armature boxing in Gjakova and I saw Aziz Saliu surrounded by the crowd cheering and applauding him. That day I told myself I want to be a champion and be known. I believe I have it in me that one day I will be the world champion,” said Elvir Muriqi.
