KFOR COMMANDER MEETS MITROVICA-SOUTH MAYOR

Pristina, 17 September 2015. KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, met today the Mayor of Mitrovica South, Mr Hagim Bahtiri, in the City Hall of the town.

They discussed on the security and economic prospects for improving living conditions in Mitrovica with specific focus on the South.

Mayor Bahtiri expressed gratitude to General Miglietta for the presence of KFOR, and the impartial and effective effort in favour of peace.

“We have worked hard, together with leaders of the new municipality in the north to improve the security situation, mobility and freedom of movement of people and goods and to improve interethnic relations. Thanks to this work, but also to communication, cooperation and support that we had from the Commander of peacekeepers – KFOR in northern Kosovo, today throughout Mitrovica we have a much relaxed situation, which is moving with firm steps towards full stabilization”, Mr Bahtiri said.

On the other hand, General Miglietta confirmed the fully commitment of KFOR soldiers in promoting a stable and tolerant environment in Mitrovica. The General also highlighted the importance to conduct a constructive dialogue and a fruitful cooperation between the Mitrovica South and North municipalities aimed to guarantee an economic and social development.

General Miglietta stated that “KFOR’s presence here is very important for the citizens of Mitrovica and the whole Kosovo too.”

–Komandanti i KFOR-it takon kryetarin e komunës së Mitrovicës së jugut–

Nga Behlul Jashari/ PRISHTINË, 17  Shtator  2015/ Komandanti i KFOR-it, Gjeneralmajori Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, konfirmoi zotimin e plotë të ushtarëve të KFOR-it në promovimin e mjedisit të qëndrueshëm dhe tolerant në Mitrovicë. Gjenerali gjithashtu nënvizoi rëndësinë e realizimit të dialogut konstruktiv dhe bashkëpunimit të frytshëm në mes të komunës së Mitrovicës së jugut me atë të veriut me synim të garantimit të zhvillimit ekonomik dhe social.

Gjenerali Miglietta tha se “prania e KFOR-it këtu është shumë e rëndësishme për qytetarët e Mitrovicës dhe tërë Kosovës”.

Komandanti i KFOR-it, Gjeneralmajori Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, takoi sot kryetarin e komunës së Mitrovicës së jugut, Agim Bahtiri, në objektin e komunës në këtë qytet.

Ata diskutuan gjendjen e sigurisë dhe perspektivën ekonomike për përmirësimin e kushteve të jetesës në Mitrovicë, me fokus të veçantë në jug, thekson njoftimi dërguar nga KFOR.

Kryetari Bahtiri falënderoi Gjeneralin Miglietta për praninë e KFOR-it dhe për punën efektive dhe të paanshme në favor të paqes.

“Kemi punuar shumë, bashkë me drejtuesit e komunës së re në veri të qytetit, që situata e sigurisë, lëvizja dhe qarkullimi i lirë i njerëzve dhe mallrave, si dhe raportet ndëretnike të përmirësohen. Falë kësaj pune, por edhe komunikimit, bashkëpunimit dhe mbështetjes që kemi pas nga komandanti i paqeruajtësve të KFOR-it për veriun e Kosovës, sot në tërë Mitrovicën kemi një situatë shumë më të relaksuar, e cila po shkon me hapa të sigurt drejt stabilizimit të plotë”, tha  Bahtiri.
