Ajo është i vetmi vend në Ballkanin Perëndimor, udhëheqësi i të cilit dënoi arrestimin e Nicolás Maduros — simbol i represionit, zgjedhjeve të manipuluara, trafikut të drogës dhe narko-terrorizmit.
Ky reagim nga Aleksandar Vuçiq nuk është aspak befasues: diktatorët që sundojnë përmes frikës ndihen të kërcënuar kur drejtësia më në fund godet njërin prej tyre. Ja pse Vuçiqi dhe Maduro kanë të njëjtin model veprimi:
– Vuçiq përbën kërcënim të drejtpërdrejtë për stabilitetin në Ballkanin Perëndimor.
– Ai vazhdon të pengojë paqen, të përshkallëzojë tensionet dhe të kërcënojë sovranitetin dhe sigurinë e shteteve fqinje.
– Serbia mbetet e rreshtuar me shtete armiqësore ndaj Shteteve të Bashkuara dhe botës demokratike, përfshirë Rusinë, Kinën, Iranin dhe Korenë e Veriut.
– Mbështetja e Vuçiçit për Maduron nuk është diçka e re — ai e nisi karrierën e tij politike duke shërbyer për Sllobodan Milloseviqin, arkitektin brutal të luftërave dhe gjenocidit në Ballkan gjatë viteve ’90. Vuçiq vazhdon edhe sot të njëjtën trashëgimi, duke u rreshtuar me diktatorë dhe duke kundërshtuar llogaridhënien.
U bëj thirrje Shteteve të Bashkuara dhe aleatëve perëndimorë të mos lejojnë që Vuçiqi të diktojë realitetin përmes lojërave të tij të paturpshme dhe destabilizuese.

Serbia once again stands on the wrong side of history!
It is the only Western Balkan country whose leader condemned the arrest of Nicolás Maduro — a symbol of repression, stolen elections, drug trafficking, and narco-terrorism.
This reaction by Aleksandar Vucic comes as no surprise: dictators who rule through fear are unsettled when accountability finally reaches one of their own.
Here are the reasons why Vucic and Maduro have the same pattern:
– Vucic poses a direct threat to stability in the Western Balkans.
– He continues to undermine peace, escalate tensions, and threaten the sovereignty and security of neighboring states, standing increasingly isolated in the region.
– Serbia remains aligned with actors hostile to the United States and the democratic world, including Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea.
– Vucic’s support for Maduro is nothing new — he began his political career working for Slobodan Milosevic, the brutal architect of wars and genocide in the Balkans during the 1990s. Vucic continues that legacy today by siding with dictators and opposing accountability.
I urge the United States and Western allies not to allow Vucic to dictate terms through shameless games.
