Albania for Hillary!

August 7, 2016 by dgreca

By Kozeta TURISHTA/

An uncommon historic moment has occurred lately in the United States of America; Hillary Clinton accepted the presidential nomination of a major US political party, the Democratic Party. Just in mentioning her name we have said almost all, not only for making history as the first women to be chosen for upcoming elections but obviously she is a woman of an extraordinary potential.

In any speech she has delivered from her political stages she has convinced us that there are thousand reasons we should cast the vote for her.

Undoubtedly, Hillary Clinton is a blessing not only for America but also for the entire world. She is the role model; with her charm and intelligence she is a noteworthy representative not only of America but also to the entire world.

As woman I would like to address to women, their rights and protection of gender equality. Everybody knows and witnessed that it was Hillary in any speech she delivered who spoke up to protect woman, advocating for pro woman policies, in order that nothing can harm them.

Hillary, this strong and straightforward woman, is a beacon for woman empowerment; she is against women and mothers discrimination all over the world. She is utterly determined to fulfill her purpose; everybody regardless of differences is entitled of rights, equal opportunities, payments and respect. This is the very essence and in order to fulfill it, for Hillary it requires a hard work, with love, will and determination and Mrs. Clinton has already showed her generosity and kindness for years in supporting children with special needs for their education to aid in the effective fulfillment of those needs in order to provide them with the same opportunities as other children, worth mentioning here health insurance for all, bringing back the smile and hope for a better future and life.

Fighting for human rights and in particular, for rights of women and those of children are fundamental principals that few politicians has these ideals in their agenda.

There is a clear vision and honesty in what Hillary Clinton said, she demands and promises, because as it has shown to us since she was Senator of the State of New York or US Secretary of State she used her smartness to do good deeds.

Her outstanding service does not represent only the values of her country and American people but those of politics too, being seen as an exemplary role model by women who become inspired to be involved in future politics.

It is not an easy task, may be impossible, to compare Hillary with somebody else regarding her leadership qualities and intelligence. Just thinking about it carefully there is a woman in the world, Margaret Thatcher, former British Prime minister, who bears resemblance in many aspects; her personality, influence and power of vision in governing.

Margaret Thatcher, known for her steel will personality, was dubbed as “Iron Lady”. This nickname will suit Hillary Clinton nicely, this reputable and charming lady a role model for her daughter, Chelsea, a spouse make proud her husband, family, society, known or unknown all Americans and other citizens in Europe and in the world.

I know sympathizers from both sides, Republicans and Democrats and as it happens usually each candidate try to garner a larger number of sympathizers, but frankly speaking in all my meetings and conversation I have had with friends or ordinary people I came across I see that hope that finally America is blessed again. The wind of the future is blowing, of rights, of freedom and safety. There is such an optimism regarding the nomination, which was historical because with Hillary Clinton America itself will be a safer place and the world will be more peaceful under the leadership of Grand Lady.

There is expectations that her program with clear objectives and based on real needs with its implementation will actually improve the country, stabilize the economy and offer better job opportunities.    Mrs. Clinton has done a tremendous job regarding women’s rights and there is no other woman candidate in the entire world that can equal Hillary Clinton in her achievement. Only during the term she held the post of US State Secretary thousand and millions are invested to aid other countries in developing health system and other millions are invested to help education of women and young women around the world.

There are many problems still regarding women’s rights around the world. Women are still disadvantaged and few of them representing foreign policies have managed to speak up or to take action for their wellbeing.

I would like to mention The Fourth World Conference on Women held several years ago: I think everybody remember the famous speech of Hillary Clinton “Women- Women rights are Human’s rights”. This speech ask us to take a breath and think that our vote is sacred and we should know to cast it in order to change not only the fate of the country but our fate and the future of our children.

The Albania-United States relationship has been and stands solid in their effort to establish democracy through several reforms aiming to improve the quality of life for Albanian people and moreover the war on Kosovo. The role of Clintons and in particular, president Bill Clinton remain outstanding in what he has done in those difficult years for Kosovo, against a mob thirsty for power, Slobodan Miloshevitch who held hostage the entire Kosovo population.

”You have suffered a lot. There were many atrocities. I do not want somebody to lose his arm or his leg or his child because of the minefield” said Bill Clinton during his brief visit to Kosovo right after the war was over after he saw people has been forced to flee their home families killed and massacred by oppressive and tyrant regime of Serbia, Slobodan Miloshvic.

It is for that reason that Albania and Kosovo will never forget those difficult times of war when many women and men, even woman with children in their arms.

The Albanians are forever grateful to Bill Clinton; for he had won everybody’s heart he is the most loved and the most loyal to Albania and Kosovo.

In the boulevard named after him in Prishtina, a statue of Mr. Clinton stands at three meter tall.  The statue is crafted with love and gratitude and will show forever the history of this state. As a sign of the huge love and longstanding gratitude many Kosovars have even named their sons after his name Bill or Clinton.

There is one thing for sure that behind every successful man there is usually a strong woman; Bill has been blessed having Hillary near him who is surrounded by love and support of people. The Albanians demonstrated this wholeheartedly. Few months ago in Saranda, a beautiful Albanian city, sympathizers and supporters of Mrs. Clinton placed her statue as a sign of gratitude for both her role and her husband, considering them as the best friend our country had in its worst days.

Certainly, I have been following Democratic National Convention, which took place few days ago, all speakers artist, singer actors, musicians and others.

I was really impressed what Gabrielle Giffords said: “a strong women get things done”

Because only strong and capable women are able to get things done, and this is what the world needs.

What America needs right now is a woman like Hillary, she has her heart in the right place and certainly will take pains over her work to improve country’s economy to evaluategovernmental policy in light of individual well-being and those in need.

One thing stood out clearly during the Convention; Hillary gave space and respected all people from different backgrounds even those of special needs who deserve the same rights.  On the other hand we saw the republican candidate, Donald Trump, mimicking and mocking like a clown these people with limited abilities. Can America trust him, what is the future shaped by a man who treat others like slaves, knowing nothing about ethics, disrespect women and his own people?

Together we are stronger we should honor our friends, Clinton family, because they are beatified and the most beloved among us . Today, more than ever time is on our side.

On November 6, 2016 while we will cast our vote, we will have the chance to show and prove our endless gratitude to her for what Clinton have done for us. It is in the blood of the Albanians being loyal and grateful.

I am fully confident that on Election Day the Albanians will reward her in recognition for work they have done and love they gave to us. A vote is a thank you, and all votes will show that we never forget good deeds and are not disrespectful.

I would like to conclude with a statement of Margaret Thatcher: “She wasn’t lucky but she deserved it” – Hillary isn’t lucky, simply she deserved it more than anybody else.
