Hakan Berisha, oldest living relative to Albania’s famous patriot, is the keeper of Hasan Prishtina’s private documents, medals, and personal artifacts that his father left to him that had been in the family for the past 120 years. Berisha invited the Veliu Brothers for a private showing of these artifacts and shared the story of each medal, photo, maps and personal documents. For example, the Pasha medal placed on Hakan’s right shoulder in the photo above (and is shown being worn by Hasan Prishtina in an original archive photo) represents one of the highest honors given to this national hero.
