[08] Powerful explosion in Prishtine, Albanian’s shop blown up

PRISHTINE, August 1/ ATA correspondent in Prishtine, Behlul Jashari reports:

A powerful explosion occurred today at 01.00 a.m. in Prishtine, in the compound of Medicine Faculty hospitals, violently administered by the Serbs.

Sources from the Council for the Defence of Human Rights say that the explosion blew up a shop, property of an Albanian. The hospital compound, where the explosion occurred, is constantly guarded by Serb forces./lm/

[09] Civilians heading for West of Prishtine

PRISHTINE, August 1 /ATA correspondent Behlul Jashari reports:

Serb artillery last night attacked civilians trying to escape shelling in the Sibofc village, some 15 km west of Prishtine.

Reports from the spot say that at least four Albanians have been seriously wounded – Makbule and Aishe Thaci, Ilmie Thaci and Ahmet Kelmendi.

Shelling from Serbian positions in Grabofc have also caused material damages.

The shells have also pounded the suburbs of Sibofc, in the Obiliq commune, up to the Zhilivode village of Vushtri commune. /p.ta/pas/lm/

[01] Attacks on Kosove by Serb forces continues, more than 10 killed and many wounded

PRISHTINE, August 1 (ata) – ATA correspondent Behlul Jashari reports: Serb military police forces are continuing operations even after Belgrade said the offensive will be over. The newspaper “Dnevni Telegraf” of Belgrade reported today that eight Albanians have been killed and some others have been taken hostage, while three Serb policemen have been injured in the armed clashes near Lipjan, 20 km from Prishtine. Albanian sources report today that at least three Albanians were killed and some others were wounded by Serb forces in different regions of Kosove.

One Albanian was reportedly killed in Carraluke of Malisheve and another in Gllareve of Kline. Three Albanians of the village Dush of Kline are suspected to have been massacred by Serb forces after they were kidnaped by these forces. During the past night and also today, Serb forces have blasted thousands of grenades in various directions of the commune of Malisheve. Today too, in the regions of Malisheve, Kile and Drenice, Serb forces have looted and set on fire homes of the Albanians. In the villages Kerrnice and Gllareve of Kile, Serbs set on fire two schools of the Albanians.

Different Albanian sources report that during the past night and today fighting has continues between Serb and Albanians forces on the border line with Albania. /sh.dha/das/xh/

[05] Other mass graves uncovered in Kosova

PRISHTINE, August 1 (ATA)-ATA correspondent Behlul Jashari reports: “The experts of the Hague Tribunal have uncovered 12 Albanians killed and massacred by Serb forces in the village of Citatove e Vjeter, Drenice, Local radio in Prishtine reports.

Meanwhile, other mass graves continue to be uncovered everywhere in Kosova. Six massacred women have been found buried in the village of Brenze of Opoje.

Some 35 Albanians massacred by Serbs are reburied today in the village of Dyve of Podujeve and Greme of Ferizaj. /lm/
