Presidentja Jahjaga u prit në Kongresin amerikan/
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga, was received today at the Congress of the United States of America in Washington. She met at the Capitol Hill senior members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US Congress, headed by Congressman Ed Royce and the senior member of the Committee, Congressman Eliot Engel.
President Jahjaga thanked the US Congressmen for the continuous support that the United States Congress has given to Kosovo. She stressed that Kosovo is free and independent because of the aid and support of the US Congress.
President Jahjaga informed the Congressmen about the internal reforms, the consolidation of Kosovo’s democracy and the strengthening of sovereignty. The President stressed the importance of continuing reforms to attract foreign investors, reforms these which should be associated with an unprecedented war against corruption.
President Jahjaga also informed the Congressmen with the flow of the dialogue for the normalization of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia and the reaching of the latest agreement. She stressed the importance of the continuation of the US support for the dialogue and the implementation of the reached agreements in the dialogue.President Jahjaga also requested the continuation of the US support in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism. The President stressed that Kosovo has made important steps in this fight becoming an example in the region.
The congressmen thanked President Jahjaga for the visit and said that Kosovo is already a success story. They reiterated the full support of the United States for its Euro-Atlantic aspirations, the implementation of democratic reforms and the economic development of the country.

Presidentja e Republikës së Kosovës, zonja Atifete Jahjaga, u prit sot në Kongresin e Shteteve të Bashkuara të Amerikës në Uashington. Ajo takoi në Kapitol Hill anëtarët e lartë të Komitetit për Çështje të Jashtme të Kongresit amerikan, të kryesuar nga Kongresisti Ed Royce dhe anëtari i lartë i Komitetit, kongresisti Eliot Engel.Presidentja Jahjaga falënderoi kongresistët amerikanë për përkrahjen e vazhdueshme që Kongresi i Shteteve të Bashkuara ka dhënë për Kosovën. Ajo theksoi se Kosova është e lirë dhe e pavarur për shkak të ndihmës dhe përkrahjes së Kongresit amerikan.Presidentja Jahjaga njoftoi kongresistët për reformat e brendshme, konsolidimin e demokracisë së Kosovës dhe forcimin e sovranitetit. Presidentja theksoi rëndësinë e vazhdimit të reformave për të tërhequr investitorët e huaj, reforma këto që duhet të shoqërohen me një luftë të paprecedentë kundër korrupsionit.
Presidentja Jahjaga gjithashtu informoi kongresistët me rrjedhën e dialogut për normalizimin e marrëdhënieve ndërmjet Republikës së Kosovës dhe Republikës së Serbisë dhe arritjen e marrëveshjeve të fundit. Ajo theksoi rëndësinë e vazhdimit të përkrahjes së Shteteve të Bashkuara për dialogun dhe zbatimin e marrëveshjeve të arritura në dialog.
Presidentja Jahjaga gjithashtu kërkoi vazhdimin e përkrahjes së Shteteve të Bashkuara në luftën kundër terrorizmit dhe ekstremizmit të dhunshëm. Presidentja theksoi se Kosova ka bërë hapa të rëndësishëm në këtë luftë duke u bërë shembull në rajon.
Kongresistët falënderuan Presidenten Jahjaga për vizitën dhe thanë se Kosova tashmë është një rrëfim i suksesit. Ata ritheksuan përkrahjen e plotë të Shteteve të Bashkuara të Amerikës për aspirata e saja euroatlantike, zbatimin e reformave demokratike dhe zhvillimin ekonomik të vendit.
