Ismail Kadare në garë për çmimin britanik “The Independent”

Gazeta britanike ‘The Guardian’ botoi ditën e sotme listën e shkurtër me emrat e 6 shkrimtarëve botërorë që janë në garë për çmimin ‘The Independent Foreign Fiction Prize 2013’, ku përfshihet edhe emri i shkrimtarit të madh shqiptar, Ismail Kadare.

Kadare do të garojë për çmimin e rëndësishëm me romanin e tij ‘Darka e gabuar’ i përkthyer nga shqipja nga John Hodgson, që është vlerësuar shumë nga kritika.

‘The Independent Foreign Prize’ është i vetmi çmim britanik për letërsinë e huaj të botuar gjatë një viti në Britaninë e Madhe. në listën e shkurtë të kandidatëve për këtë çmim, veç e Ismail Kadare me ‘Darka e gabuar’ janë edhe: Enrique Vila-Matas, nga Spanja me ‘Dublinesque’, Gerrband Bakker nga Danimarka me ‘The Detour’, Andrés Neuman nga Spanja me ‘Traveller of the Century’, Chris Barnard nga Afrika me ‘Bundu’ dhe Dasa Drndic nga Kroacia me ‘Trieste’.

Fituesi i këtij çmimi do të shpallet më 20 maj në ‘Royal Institute of British Architects’, në Londër. Vlera e tij është, 10.000 paund të cilat ndahen në mënyrë të barabartë mes shkrimtarit dhe përkthyesit.

The hottest singer in hip rock PhaZe is making special several appearances throughout November and December to promote his recent release, “Jam Shqiptar” (Eng.I’m Albanian). To celebrate this historical and momentous event, PhaZe will appear live at the Maestro’s Restaurant (1703 Bronxdale Avenue, Bronx, NY) on Sunday, November 4, 2012. Doors open at 6:00pm, and the celebration includes, dinner, open bar, traditional fold dances, music and comedy by Albania’s most renowned artists (www.albanianculturetv.org).

PhaZe is performing his number #1 hit, and Gem Belushi will take the stage representing Eagles Up (EU) Entertainment. PhaZe is an affiliate of EU (www.eugang.com). The event is scheduled to telecast on Albanian Culture TV, which is also celebrating its 15thanniversary on this special night.

The Albanian heritage is a unique celebration in the sense that there is unity, respect, tolerance and deep appreciation for cultural traditions.
