The Democratic Party and its allies have had a meeting today, where they decided not to register in the Central Electoral Commission for the general elections, scheduled in 18 June 2017. The opposition coalition is determined in its decision as long as their demand for a caretaker cabinet has a positive response.
Sources from the opposition coalition told Syri.net that the meeting has also decided for another national protest, like that of February 18, this time in Kavaja, on May 7.
The tent of the opposition will continue to stay in the boulevard despite the protest in Kavaja.
May 7 is the day of partial local elections in Kavaja, where people will vote to replace dismissed Mayor Elvis Rroshi. The opposition has boycotted the elections.
