GJILAN, 30 Prill 2016-B.Jashari/.-Në Kosovë, komandanti i KFOR-it, Gjeneralmajori Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, udhëhoqi ceremoninë e hapjes së Shtëpisë së re Fushore për LMT (Ekipin Monitorues e Ndërlidhës), nën komandën Turke me seli në Gjilan. Në ceremoni ishte e pranishme edhe ambasadorja e Turqisë në Kosovë, Kivilcim Kiliҫ, si dhe kryetari i komunës, Lufti Haziri.
Njoftimi i dërguar sot thekson se, prania e tashme e KFOR-it përfshinë dy Grupe Luftuese Shumëkombëshe (MNBG) dhe tre Detaçmente të Përbashkëta Regjionale (JRD) të cilat mbulojnë zona të ndryshme: shtabi i MNBG-Lindje në Ferizaj në kampin ‘Bondsteel’, shtabi i MNBG-Perëndim në Pejë në kampin ‘Villagio Italia’, shtabi i JRD-Veri në Novosellë në kampin ‘Marechal de Lattre de Tassigny’, shtabi i JRD-Qendër në Prishtinë kampi ‘Film City’, dhe shtabi i JRD-Jug në Prizren në kampin ‘Sultan Murat’.
JRD-të, të cilat operojnë me asete jo-kinetike të emërtuara Ekipe Monitoruese e Ndërlidhëse (LMT), i sigurojnë KFOR-it ‘njoftimin me situatën’, përmes aktiviteteve ndërlidhëse me institucionet lokale, organizatat ndërkombëtare dhe në veçanti me popullsinë vendore, ashtu që ato realizojnë aktivitete të përditshme monitorimi me qëllim të matjes së ‘pulsit’ të situatës ekonomike, sociale dhe politike.
Për KFOR-in, vazhdimi i operimit të këtyre LMT-ve mbetet faktor i rëndësishëm i cili mundëson angazhimin me popullsinë vendore, gjë që rritë dhe përforcon tutje imazhin tanimë shumë pozitiv të KFOR-it, pasi që ata bashkëveprojnë me popullin e Kosovës si dhe njëkohësisht zhvillojnë dhe nxisin kredibilitetin e KFOR-it në mesin e popullsisë vendore.

JOINT REGIONAL DETACHMENT SOUTH – NEW FIELD HOUSE
GJILAN, Kosovo. This afternoon, KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, presided over the opening of a new Field House for the LMT, under Turkish Command, based at Gjilan. Also present at the ceremony was the Turkish Ambassador, H.E. Mrs. Kivilcim Kiliҫ, and the Mayor of the municipality, Mr. Lufti Haziri.
The current KFOR posture includes two Multinational Battle Groups (MNBGs) and three Joint Regional Detachments (JRDs), covering different areas: MNBG-East HQ in Urosevac, at “Camp Bondsteel”, MNBG-West HQ in Pec, at “Camp Villaggio Italia”, JRD-North HQ in Novo Selo, at “Camp Marechal de Lattre de Tassigny”, JRD-Centre HQ in Pristina, at “Camp Film City”, and JRD-South HQ in Prizren, at “Camp Sultan Murat”.
The JRDs, operating with non-kinetic assets named Liaison and Monitoring Teams (LMTs), provide KFOR with a ‘situational awareness’, through a liaison activity with the local institutions, International Organizations and especially with the local population. They conduct daily monitoring activities in order to get the ‘pulse’ of economic, social and the political situation.
For KFOR the continued operation of these LMTs remains a key enabler to engage with the local population, thereby further enhancing and reinforcing the already very positive image of KFOR as they interface with the people of Kosovo and, allied to this, to develop and foster the credibility of KFOR amongst the local populace.
