The Council of Albanian Ambassadors (CAA) is pleased to recognize the success of the Workshop on Dialogue with Civil Society Organizations for Change in the Western Balkans, held in the beautiful seaside setting of Golem, Albania.
Using its vast expertise and human resources, CAA have provided to Civil Society Organizations with the appropriate diplomatic manners, tools and skills to effectively engage with Governments, IOs, foreign embassies and representatives, media, etc. Former Ministers of Foreign Affairs, former Ambassadors and diplomats from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, B-H, have lectured and exchanged ideas and knowhow with representatives of the SCO from the countries of WB to help them in addressing the challenges they are facing and achieving their objectives.
This event marked another significant step forward in strengthening regional cooperation, civic engagement, and shared aspirations for a more inclusive and prosperous Western Balkans. Building on the achievements of our previous gathering in Skopje, the workshop reaffirmed, i.a., an essential truth: the Western Balkans has far more that unite us than divide us. Our common history, values, and aspirations serve as a powerful foundation for collaboration. Through open dialogue and partnership, we can best address the challenges ahead and drive meaningful progress in the region.
This workshop provided a valuable platform for deepening networks, exchanging ideas, and exploring practical solutions to strengthen the role of civil society in shaping the future of our region. The active engagement of participants and the richness of discussions reaffirmed the vital role of civil society organizations in fostering stability, democratic values, and regional cooperation.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Western Balkans Fund and the European Union for their continuous support, as well as to all participants whose dedication and expertise contributed to the success of this initiative.
