Dear Madam Secretary,

On behalf of The Pan-Albanian Federation of America VATRA (THE HEARTH), I take this opportunity to reach out to you at this time of great disappointment that is shared by tens of millions, including many Albanians here and in the homeland.

Albanians will never forget President Clinton’s historical decision that you fully supported, to save the Albanian people of Kosova from genocide and ethnic cleansing less than two decades ago. We have followed with great appreciation your continued friendship toward the Albanian people, who are perhaps the most pro-American by a long tradition.

We remember with gratitude your visit to Albania a few years ago and, speaking to the Parliament, you told all the members and leaders present that they had to work together for the interests of their country, regardless of party differences. You cited your own example of working with Obama, for America that you both loved, despite the harsh rhetoric of the electoral campaign. You proudly displayed that inspiring spirit of democracy again today, when you congratulated Donald Trump and wished him to be a successful President for all Americans!

We are confident that Albanians will always enjoy your continued friendship and that of President Clinton. God bless you and your family.
