My name is James Kerr. I am a retired teacher and I work placing students who have won US Department of State Scholarships for two semesters in an American high school. These students are winners of very competitive scholarships and they come with full health coverage, receive a monthly check for their spending money, and have some funds available for school-related expenses. Hosts must agree to provide three meals per day, a place to sleep and to study, and transportation to and from school when school bus transportation is not available. They are required to maintain a “B” average in their studies, must complete a minimum of 30 hours of volunteer service, and must join and participate in a leadership club or activity.
I am searching for a host for a boy from Kosovo who has not yet found a host and sponsoring school. Could you help me connect with someone who might consider hosting him? If so, I would appreciate the assistance. It is late in the summer and I want him to be able to use the scholarship he worked so hard to win. I’ve attached his profile and a flier. Thank you very much for considering this request.
