General Miglietta met US Ambassador and in Kosovo and UNMIK HoM/
Pristina, 26th August. KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta met this morning in Camp “Film City”, NATO KFOR Headquarters, the new United States Ambassador in Kosovo, H.E. Mr Greg Delawie.
General Miglietta and Ambassador Delawie discussed the overall situation in Kosovo focusing, mainly, on next month challenges like the implementation of the Belgrade – Pristina dialogue, the future of EULEX and the implementation of the Association of Serbian Municipalities.
COMKFOR thanked US Ambassador for the important role, the professionalism and the outstanding contribution of US service members in KFOR. US are the first contributing Nation to KFOR with more than 650 soldiers, and are also the leading Nation of the Multinational Battle Group East. General Miglietta also remembered the close and fruitful collaboration that KFOR always had with US Ambassador especially inside the “Quint”.
In the late morning General Miglietta received also Mr. Farid Zarif, Special Representative of the Secretary General and Head of Mission of UNMIK. Mr Zarif paid a visit to COMKFOR before leaving Kosovo for the end of his mission, General Miglietta thanked him for the long lasting and always valuable support he gave to KFOR during his mandate and wished him always new and greater success in his new appointment.
