Today marked an important moment for the Albanian American community as we came together for a meaningful and productive conversation with Congressman George Latimer. As an organizer of this event, I am proud to see so many members of our community show up, engage, and make their voices heard.
We thank Congressman Latimer for taking the time to meet with us and listen, not just as a representative, but as a true friend of the Albanian people. His presence and willingness to engage with our community speak volumes about his character and commitment. As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, his voice matters not only in Washington, but also for the Albanian cause here in the U.S. and in the Balkans.
Great news as of today: Congressman Latimer has officially joined the Albanian Issues Caucus in Congress, a significant step in strengthening our voice in Washington and advancing the causes that matter most to Albanians worldwide.
During today’s discussion, we addressed both local concerns affecting Albanian Americans and broader issues related to the Balkans. These conversations are essential, and this meeting marks the beginning of what will be many more opportunities for direct dialogue with leaders across various branches of government.
Across the country, Albanian Americans are working to grow our influence and increase the number of friends and allies at every level of the United States government; local, state, and federal. And together, we will make it happen.
Constituent-government relationships are the foundation of a healthy democracy, and Congressman Latimer has shown time and again that he is ready to listen, to help, and to act.
Thank you to everyone who attended, your presence made this event impactful and necessary. Let this be just the beginning. Thank you to all involved in making today’s event happen.

Sot ishte një ditë e rëndësishme për komunitetin Shqiptaro-Amerikan, teksa u mblodhëm për një bisedë produktive me Kongresmenin George Latimer. Si organizator i këtij takimi, jam krenar që pashë kaq shumë pjesëtarë të komunitetit tonë të angazhohen, të marrin pjesë dhe të bëjnë që zëri ynë të dëgjohet.
Si anëtar i Komisionit për Punët e Jashtme në kongres, zëri Z. Latimer ka rëndësi jo vetëm në Uashington dhe në botë, por edhe për çështjet shqiptare në Ballkan.
Lajm i mrekullueshëm: që nga sot, Kongresmeni Latimer është pjesë e Albanian Issues Caucus ne kongresin Amerikan, një hap i rëndësishëm drejt forcimit të zërit tonë në Uashington dhe avancimit të çështjeve që kanë rëndësi për shqiptarët kudo në botë.
Në mbarë Shtetet e Bashkuara, Shqiptaro-Amerikanët po punojnë për të rritur ndikimin tonë dhe për të shtuar numrin e miqve dhe përkrahësve në të gjitha nivelet e qeverisë së Shteteve të Bashkuara – lokale, shtetërore dhe federale. Dhe së bashku, do ta bëjmë realitet.
