Prishtina, 31 August 2015 – First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has received today the new Ambassador of the United States to Kosovo, Gregory T. Delawie.
Deputy Prime Minister Thaçi warmly welcomed Ambassador Delawie and stressed that Kosovo and the United States enjoy a special relationship adding that the relations between the two countries will be further strengthened.
“We have always had and we will always have excellent cooperation with the United States, with whom we enjoy exemplary friendly relations,” Thaçi said.
Deputy Prime Minister Thaçi briefed Ambassador Delawie on Kosovo’s latest achievements, on country’s current projects, with a particular emphasis on investment in the economy and security but also on the challenges facing the country.
U.S. Ambassador Delawie expressed his delight to be serving in Kosovo and vowed to continue the good cooperation with Kosovo.
