On behalf of The Pan-Albanian Federation of America VATRA (THE HEARTH), I take this opportunity to reach out to you at this time of great disappointment that is shared by tens of millions, including many Albanians here and in the homeland.

Albanians will never forget President Clinton’s historical decision that you fully supported, to save the Albanian people of Kosova from genocide and ethnic cleansing less than two decades ago. We have followed with great appreciation your continued friendship toward the Albanian people, who are perhaps the most pro-American by a long tradition.

We remember with gratitude your visit to Albania a few years ago and, speaking to the Parliament, you told all the members and leaders present that they had to work together for the interests of their country, regardless of party differences. You cited your own example of working with Obama, for America that you both loved, despite the harsh rhetoric of the electoral campaign. You proudly displayed that inspiring spirit of democracy again today, when you congratulated Donald Trump and wished him to be a successful President for all Americans!

We are confident that Albanians will always enjoy your continued friendship and that of President Clinton. God bless you and your family.

Leter per Veterans Day

Dear Commander Kercelli,

Veterans Day is a time to honor and thank those who have served in the U.S. armed forces for their sacrifices to our nation. Wherever their service took them — from the fields of Yorktown and Gettysburg to the skies over Berlin and Hanoi; from the waters of the Leyte Gulf to the hills of Khe Sanh and Kandahar — the men and women of America’s uniformed services have dedicated their lives to protecting our rights and freedoms, often at great cost to themselves.

For our troops serving around the world and those transitioning out of the military, our obligations are only beginning. America puts no limits on the sacrifices expected of our uniformed services; as Americans, we have a reciprocal obligation to ensure rewards for career service are commensurate with sacrifice.

This year, I am deeply proud and honored to represent MOAA at the Veterans Day White House breakfast and at the Veterans Day National Observance at Arlington National Cemetery. I will be joined by the MOAA color bearer team from our Heritage Chapter in Fredericksburg, Va., along with the MOAA wreath-laying team from the Mount Vernon Chapter of Northern Virginia.

Many observe Veterans Day by simply flying the flag at home, having a picnic or cookout with friends and family, or reflecting on the values of commitment, reliability, and loyalty learned from military service. My hope for you this Veterans Day is that you will spend time with people close to you and your fellow veterans to celebrate your military service and share your stories. I encourage you to watch the Veterans Day commemoration on television, take a walk through your local veterans’ cemetery, or tour local memorials and monuments that are in some way related to the service and sacrifice of veterans. Or you can spend part of the day volunteering at a local VA hospital or even just chatting with fellow veterans. Take the time to listen and learn from these brave men and women and appreciate the gift of freedom bestowed on each of us by their sacrifice.

Of course, our work honoring veterans does not end on Veterans Day. There are nearly 22 million veterans in our country today, and more than 200,000 servicemembers will be leaving military service annually for the coming years to reintegrate into their local communities and assume the responsibilities of good citizenship. These transitioning veterans and their families are not asking for parades or public recognition. However, they do appreciate support during their journey from uniformed service to successful civilian careers.

On behalf of MOAA Chairman Gen. Jack Sheehan, members of our board of directors, more than 400 state councils and local chapters, and nearly 370,000 members, I offer our sincerest gratitude and say thank you for your selfless service to our nation. Our pledge to you is to “never stop serving.”

Ne mërgimtarët , antarët e Shoqatës „Atdheu“ në Graz të Austrisë jemi jashtzakonisht shumë të shqetësuar lidhur me zhvillimet e fundit në Kosovë,e sidomos me qështjen e demarkacionit me Malin e zi.Ne kemi vendosur që për mes kësaj letre t´ju kërkojmë deputetëve t,kuvendit të Republikës së Kosovës që të mos e ratifikojnë marrveshëjen sipas Komisionit të formuar nga Qeveria e Kosovës .Pa dyshim ne jemi të bindur se ka gabime te mëdhaja dhe Kosova humb shumë teritor. Gjë që ,na sjell telashe të medha, neve dhe gjeneratave pas nesh me Malin e Zi. Ne jemi të bindur se do te përmisohen gabimet para se të votohet në kuvend, si mundësi rishikimit dhe ajo e arbitrazhit ndërkombëtar siq e bejn të gjitha shtetet me prevojë të madhe dhe Demokraci të vertetë si shembull; Amerika me Mexsiken, Gjermania me Qekinë , apo Sllovenija me Kroacinë. Edhe ne si popull jemi te gateshëm ta luftojmë qdo presion qoft i mbrendëshëm apo i jashtem pë ta votuar në kët formë demokracionin e damshëm për popullin e Kosovës. Me bindjen se me anë të kësaj letre, po kontribojmë sa do pak paqe, dhe fqinjesi të mirë në ballkan edhe një herë ju bëjm thirrje Deputetëve të Kuvendit të Republikës së Kosovës që të votojnë në kët form demarkacionin me Malin e zi.

Trump slams GOP officials’ national security letter

Donald Trump on Monday lashed out at 50 top Republican national security officials for criticizing his presidential campaign.”The names on this letter are the ones the American people should look to for answers on why the world is a mess, and we thank them for coming forward so everyone in this country knows who deserves the blame for making the world such a dangerous place,” he said in a statement.

“They are nothing more than the failed Washington elite looking to hold onto their power, and it’s time they are held accountable for their actions.”Trump said the coalition dismissing his national security positions are many of the same voices guiding Hillary Clinton’s poor foreign policies.

“These insiders – along with Hillary Clinton – are the owners of the disastrous decisions to invade Iraq, allow Americans to die in Benghazi, and they are the ones who allowed the rise of [the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria],” the GOP’s presidential nominee said.”Yet despite these failures, they think they are entitled to use their favor trading to land taxpayer-funded government contracts and speaking fees,” Trump added.

“It’s time we put our foot down and declare that their gravy train is over: No longer will Crooked Hillary Clinton and the other disasters in Washington get rich at our expense.”

A group of 50 top Republican national security officials published a letter earlier Monday declaring Trump is unfit for the presidency.The letter was signed by aides and Cabinet members from past GOP administrations including former Presidents George W. Bush’s and Richard Nixon’s.”Mr. Trump lacks the character, values and experience to be president,” the letter says. “He weakens U.S. moral authority as the leader of the free world

Republikanët anti Trump, letër për Komitetin Kombëtar

Më shumë se 70 republikanë, i dërguan një letër të hapur Komitetit Kombëtar të partisë duke i kërkuar këtij organizmi që të mos e ndihmojë më fushatën e Donald Trump. Sipas firmëtarëve të letrës, qëndrimi ndarës dhe paaftësia e Trump rrezikojnë që të dëmtojnë ndjeshëm partinë në zgjedhje e nëntorit. Në letër shkruhet se partia duhet të harrojë Trump dhe të fokusohet tek kandidatët që garojnë për Senatin dhe Dhomën e Përfaqësuesve. Kjo do të thotë se një pjesë e republikanëve që kundështojnë Trumpin, i cilësojnë të humbura zgjedhjet presidencaile në nëntor dhe duan që të kufizojnë sa më shumë disfatën duke u paraqitur sa më mirë që të munden në zgjedhje për Kongresin. “Ne besojmë se ndarja, papërgjegjshmëria, paaftësia dhe mungesa rekord e popullaritet që Trump ofron, do të sjellë një fitore të jashtëzakonshme të demokratëve në zgjedhje presidenciale”, shkruhet në letër. Sipas kundërshtarëve të Trump, partia duhet të fokusojë burimet që ka në dispozicion tek garat për senatin dhe Dhomën e Përfaqësuesve, pasi gara e Trumpit është tashmë e humbur dhe kjo bëhet e qartë nga dita në ditë. Vetë Trump, duke reaguar ndaj letërs tha se nuk është aspak i shqetësuar se partia mund t’i presë fondet dhe ai mund të bëjë të njëjtën gjë, të mos financojë më Partinë Republikane. Kritikët kërkojnë që Trump të lërë vullnetarisht kandidimin për ta zëvendësuar, por zor se ai do ta bëjë. mbi të gjitha rregullorja e partisë nuk lejon gjetjen e një tjetër kandidati në këtë pikë të garës. Disa republikanë kanë sugjeruar një rregullore që s’është përdorur kurrë më parë: shpallja e Trumpit jo mirë mendërisht nga Komiteti Kombëtar. Por të shpallësh të çmendur njeriun që është zgjedhur nga më shumë se 10 milionë amerikanë është një lëvizje tepër e guximshme dhe nuk dihet se çpasoja mund të sjellë. Sondazhet tregojnë se Trump po humbet terren në shtetet të rëndësishme për zgjedhje dhe krerët e partisë duhet të marrin vendime të vështira.
