Request Justice for the Bytyqi Brothers
We respectfully call upon the Government of Serbia to fulfill its legal and moral responsibility by ensuring justice for the Bytyqi brothers—Ylli, Agron, and Mehmet Bytyqi—who were unlawfully detained, executed, and buried in a mass grave in 1999.
More than two decades have passed since this crime, yet full accountability has not been achieved. Justice delayed is justice denied—not only for the Bytyqi family, but for all those who believe in the rule of law, human rights, and the dignity of every human life.
We urge the Government of Serbia to conduct a transparent and impartial process that identifies, prosecutes, and holds accountable all individuals responsible for the planning, execution, and concealment of these murders. We also call for full cooperation with international partners and judicial authorities to ensure that the truth is established and justice is served.
Seeking justice is not an act of revenge. It is a commitment to the principles of accountability, reconciliation, and lasting peace. Acknowledging past crimes and ensuring accountability are essential steps toward building trust and strengthening relations among nations.
The memory of Ylli, Agron, and Mehmet Bytyqi deserves honor, and their family deserves the truth and justice that has been denied for far too long.
