I value your collaborative approach to governing and your commitment to ensuring that our community has a seat at the table. In your previuos campaign, our meeting with you and Albanian community representatives at Patsy’s Pizzeria in East Harlem was a welcome opportunity to strengthen that relationship. I also want to thank you again for recognizing Kosovo Independence Day alongside our community.
That ceremony was especially meaningful because it marked the first time your office joined Vatra in hosting this commemoration. Your visit to the newly dedicated Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu Street in the Bronx remains a memorable occasion for our community. We appreciated your kind words about the Albanian traditions, contributions, and aspirations. Your recognition that immigrant communities help stengthen New York and embody the American dream resonated deeply with us.
